86th Annual Klamath Basin Potato Festival

October 20th and 21st | Merrill, Oregon

Theme: "Potatoes -A Family Tradition!"

Grand Marshal: The Walker Family

Welcome to the 86th Annual Klamath Basin Potato Festival. Thank you for helping us celebrate our community’s past, present, and future success.
This past winter and spring blessed us with significant precipitation to help restore our soils from multiple years of drought conditions. The plentiful moisture nourished our crops and fended off unwanted wildfires.
This year’s Potato Festival Theme “Potatoes – A Family Tradition” illustrates how potatoes have been the lifeblood of this community since the beginning when Merrill was founded in 1890. The Theme fits great with our Grand Marshals this year, the Walker family. They have been in the basin for over 100 years. The Klamath Centennial Book discusses their arrival in 1920.
This wonderful festival provides us the opportunity to celebrate and be thankful for all we have while remembering all the people that came before us to make it possible. It has been a great year here in Merrill. Please enjoy your time at the festival and help us celebrate the end of our harvest season.
Cheers,
Bobby Douglas
